Katharina Roters and József Szolnoki began collaborating in the early 2000s on research-based works to examine the often contradictory patterns of individual and collective memory—and, within that, forgetting. The 2016 Hack the Past! exhibition in Győr—which incorporated elements of reenactment and public art interventions—was the culmination of a series of works further developed for the 2019 MODEM Wunderblock exhibition. The Veszprém exhibition was created to mark the 70th anniversary.
