Felefánt – Questions and answers with Zoli Juhász
Everyone listens to music, and everyone goes to concerts by their favorite artists. However, fewer people think about how the great songs that their favorite performers sing on stage are created. How much time and thought goes into writing the lyrics for such a work, and how the musician then adds the melodies. Or do the two happen simultaneously? Among other things, Zoli Juhász, the moderator of the discussion, is waiting for answers to these questions. In March, Csaba Szendrői and András Tóth will join us and transport the audience into the unique musical world of Elefánt.
During the conversation, the band's most famous songs will be played, this time in a duet.

Zoli Juhász – moderator
Zoli Juhász is a singer-songwriter from Veszprém. Although he spent part of his childhood in England and his native language is English, he came to the attention of several major figures in the alternative scene through his Hungarian songs. He has performed at most of the major festivals with his band, played several times at Sziget, and won the Kikeltető and Sávlekő Camp talent contests. His lyrics are characterized by an outsider's perspective, detachment, and restrained honesty.
The Elefánt band was originally a duo, founded by Csaba Szendrői and András Tóth. Although even in their early days in Szombathely, they were helped by fellow musicians and friends, and until 2012, the two of them wrote most of the songs. The band as we know it today came together through the Kodály method. They already had a few years of Elefánt band experience behind them when the idea arose that the two of them could play music together again. FELEFÁNT plays the most popular Elefánt songs with minimal instrumentation, accompanied by guitar and occasionally drums, spiced up with moods born of the moment. In addition to these, from time to time, an unreleased song or two, a cover version or two, and works from Csabi's albums also make an appearance. In addition to the direct and familiar atmosphere, it is more improvisational and spontaneous, which has been characteristic of Szendrői-Tóth's music from the very beginning. They play together a lot and understand each other without words. At these concerts, something unexpected can happen at any moment, and they usually go with the flow, which is what makes them so intimate, natural, intimate, and unexpected, making it liberating for the audience as well.
