The three episodes of Father Mother Sister Brother each tell the story of one family. In all three parts, the siblings meet after a long time. During their time together, they must face tensions that arose in the past and reevaluate their complicated relationship with their parents.

Each of the three chapters is set in a different country: Father in the northeastern United States, Mother in Dublin, and Sister Brother in Paris. As we have come to expect from Jarmusch, the movie is a character study that combines melancholy with subtle humor, examining family relationships. (Cirko Film)
