Monochrome ink painting, which originated in China, was introduced to Japan by Zen monks in the 14th century.
Suiboku-ga painting captures the essence of things, conveying the subject of the painting on pure white paper with a few bold brushstrokes.
Participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the tools used in Far Eastern ink painting: we will prepare ink from a stone inkstone, and after learning and practicing the most important brushstrokes, we will master the basics of bamboo painting.
No prior training is required to participate in the workshop; all you need is perseverance and focus.
This activity is recommended for children ages 12 and up. We provide all the necessary equipment.
