The Boys of Pál Street - a musical play in two parts. Let's say goodbye to the schoolyear together with Nemecsek and his friends! Based on the novel of the same name by Ferenc Molnár. Let's do it if we have to, no matter what happens, let the GRUND be free!
Let's carve it here today so that this place will remain, or we will die trying! The stage version was inspired by Ferenc Molnár's timeless youth novel of the same title, which was adapted for the stage by László Marton and Zsuzsa Radnóti, using some elements from Sándor Török's adaptation. The performance depicts the classic story through its young heroes—Nemecsek, Boka, Feri Áts, and their companions— to explore the themes of heroism, betrayal, fallibility, and patriotism. The musical play dresses the story in a modern costume, spiced with contemporary music and song lyrics.
The musical and rhythmic creativity of the actors and the acoustic rendering of the material world provide a unique experience, while the cathartic message of the original work continues to touch our hearts. The Roxínház production not only entertains, but also provokes thought and evokes our shared memories.
The playground, the club, the flower garden, and the legendary battle are all memories that have been passed down through generations and have become part of our common cultural heritage. Through the melodies of Dés and Geszti and the lyrics of Grecsó, the actors sing their emotional stories, which will be familiar to every viewer. Step into the exciting world of the boys from Pál Street with Roxínház, and rediscover Ferenc Molnár's timeless classic, which is waiting to be discovered again and again by every generation.
