Exercising in water is a particularly gentle form of exercise, as the buoyancy of the water reduces the strain on the joints and spine. At the same time, the exercises can help improve muscle mobility, improve motor coordination, and enhance overall well-being. The program aims to show that regular physical activity does not have to be limited to performance-oriented sports, but can also be an enjoyable, liberating and a community experience accessible to everyone.

The event pays special attention to older adults, adults interested in health maintenance and prevention, families with little kids, and people with mobility impairments, mild intellectual disabilities, or other disabilities. The water-based exercises allow participants to join in the activities

Physical therapists, volunteer physical therapy students, and lifeguards. The program also serves as a community-building event that spans generations: in addition to local residents, it encourages vacationers and tourists in Fonyód to come together and experience the joy of exercise in the unique setting of Lake Balaton.

Participation in the session is free; no prior training or athletic experience is required.
