What Happened in Veszprém in 1956? — Bringing History Closer to Us

We invite you to take a walk through downtown Veszprém, which evokes the era and the people who shaped it by visiting the most important sites and memorials, evoking the era and the people who were—at times—shapers and active participants, and at other times, victims of those turbulent days in our history. Contemporary documents (official records and personal memoirs) will assist us in this endeavor.

Duration of the walk: approx. 2 hours

The city tour will take place with a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 40 participants.

Registrations will be processed in the order they are received. The city tours can be booked by individual guests; please visit the veszpreminfo.hu website for our group offers.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Tourinform Veszprém office (2 Óváros tér), or by advance bank transfer to account number 17600066-00474012-00200004. To complete registration, payment must be made no later than 48 hours before the start of the walk.
If paying by bank transfer, we need the following information to issue the invoice: Name, Address, (for companies: tax ID number)
