Bachelor party
One of the most anticipated Hungarian comedies of 2025, Legénybúcsú, invites viewers on a truly whirlwind and entertaining journey: friendship, chaos, misunderstandings, and strong emotions accompany this eventful weekend.
At the center of the story are Alex and Simon, two long-time colleagues who work together as family doctors, played by Mark Ember and Tibor Fehér. Their twenty-one-year-long unbreakable friendship reaches a turning point: Simon is getting married, and Alex is trying to bid farewell to his "free" years in a dignified manner. The only problem is that nothing turns out the way they planned. From the shores of Lake Balaton to a luxury golf resort to Wild West-style saloons, the group drifts from place to place, while a mysterious safe, a famous actress (Rebeka Karpati), a tough policewoman (Gyopár Kovács), a commando, and the bride (Franciska Törőcsik) further complicate the situation. Amidst the many humorous and tense moments, the big question arises: will friendship prevail – and will there even be a wedding?
The film was directed by Szente Vajk, who adapted his own highly successful play for the screen. Thanks to its theatrical roots, the film is characterized by a fast pace, excellent character dynamics, and lovable, well-written situations. The supporting roles feature such favorites as András Csonka and Sándor Nagy, who further enhance the humor factor.
