Something Wild

Zsófi occasionally transforms into a bear. The huge, lumbering creature wreaks havoc in the family's tower-block flat, threatening the lives of her terrified parents and younger sibling, while the neighbors are beginning to grow suspicious of the disturbing noises. Yet when she is not a bear, Zsófi is a dreamy young woman preparing for her university entrance exams.

Konrád Zsuzsanna's film works both as a realist family drama and as a subtly absurd fairy tale. It won the award for Best Hungarian Live-Action Short Film at the 14th Friss Hús Short Film Festival.
