An enchanting region.

It is still shrouded in the mystery of its rich past. 

Royal hunters, free nobles, flourishing agriculture, vast borders, thousands of horses, farms, Bakony wood carvings, melodies and dances, stories and histories passed down by great-grandmothers, a stubborn desire to keep traditions alive, a life that somehow starts over after every disaster.

If one is observant, one can still see beneath the plaster of the present , the attachment to the homeland and the roots.

At the Szentgáli Kurázsi Foundation, we work to ensure that this heritage is not lost, to help itawaken: we have a rich treasure trove. It is worth using every gem, because it helps us live.

The Foundation currently operates in three main areas:

- It supports the Szűrös Dance Ensemble

- it organizes the ÉLETFA tradition preservation program series (depending on availability, monthly dance houses, folk music concerts, lectures, craft workshops)

- and holds forest education classes as part of its environmental education program.
