Established in 2007, VGYE is headquartered in Budapest with a subsidiary location in Káptalanfüred. It is a prominent Hungarian association engaged in the organization of sailing camps and introductory competitions.

In recent years, the association has taught an average of 200-220 young people a year to sail around Lake Balaton and other water areas in Hungary. The philosophy of the institution is predicated on the notion that the quality of the paper is of negligible significance when compared to the imparting of foundational skills in small boat navigation and the associated sailing culture to kids. The participation of kids and young people aged between 8 and 19 is evident in a variety of settings, including camps, training camps and competitions.

The content of these courses is typically oriented towards family-related subjects and activities. Although the organisation does not offer courses for obtaining a sailing license, it provides its members and participants with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, prepare for the examination, or simply enjoy recreational sailing.
