Győző Duró: *Under the Paris Sky* at Petőfi Theater Veszprém

We’re back in Paris. In the world of French chansons. Instead of the neon lights, the cafés, and the revelers, it is not the glitz and the sultry nights that take center stage this time. It is the aftermath of the war, and the protagonist, returning home, does not find his love, but stumbles upon his friends in a seedy bar, and it turns out that, in turbulent times, true love flees, lost, into debauchery and depravity—from which it is now almost impossible to escape. On your journey, you are accompanied by unforgettable melodies and lines that resonate like poetry. With our performance, we pay tribute to outstanding Győző Duró, the theater’s former great dramaturg, who now transports us once again to a nostalgic Paris. The premiere took place in 1998.
