Madách's cult classic with puppets and live actors, for young audiences.
Overview
🏛 Imre Madách's cult work is given a new perspective in Kabóca Puppet Theater's adaptation: the philosophically profound drama comes to life with puppets and live actors, in a spectacular, abstract, yet personal form.
🕰️ The story follows Adam and Eve's journey through time, accompanied by Lucifer, from creation to future civilization. The questions raised are relevant today: what is the purpose of life, what is happiness, is there an afterlife, and if so, do I want it?
🎎 The roles "grow" over time and transform: different Adams and Eves appear throughout the play, with the help of puppets. The rhythm of continuous change reveals to the viewer how goals and desires change from one stage of life to another.
⚖ The balance between philosophy and personal presence creates an intensein which the big questions are presented not as abstract concepts but as situations that can be experienced.
