The long-term impact of the project is that the anniversary program series will reinforce Jásd Sports Association’s role in the community, increase commitment to sports, and sustainably support the integration of regular physical activity into the town’s daily life.

Introduction

Located at the eastern gate of the Bakony Hills, in the valley of the Gaja Stream, the small town is rich in historical and natural treasures. The history of the settlement dates back to the time of the Hungarian conquest; its cultural heritage is reinforced by the founding of the Benedictine Abbey of St. George and Slovak national traditions. The interactive exhibitions at Bodzaház (Elderberry House) and the Tájház (Country Museum) showcase local life, while the springs, lookouts, and sacred monuments of the area are popular destinations for excursions. Themed programs based on elderberry offer a gastronomic experience.

Location & Accessibility

The settlement can be reached by car from the road connecting Várpalota and Szápár. Scheduled buses typically run to the settlement from Várpalota, but it can also be reached by changing buses in Szápár or directly from Zirc and Veszprém.
