Those walking along the Rába are watched over by the beautiful 18th-century Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, standing three steps high beneath the classicist-style, columned gloriette with a Doric cornice, erected in the square beside the Rába Bridge.

The old postal road passing in front of it was once lined with a protected row of pyramid oaks planted in 1896 in honor of the Millennium. THIS WAS CUT DOWN.

The Baroque statue, created in 1774, was later enclosed by the gloriette commissioned by Duke Fülöp Batthyány-Strattmann.
