Introduction
Vaszary Gallery is the jewel of Balatonfüred’s cultural quarter, housed in one of the city’s most significant historic buildings, the former summer residence of Prince Primate Vaszary. The villa, featuring a variety of architectural styles, was built in 1892 on the commission of Prince Primate Kolos Vaszary, based on designs by Győző Czigler. Since its renovation, completed in 2010, the gallery has served as an exhibition space, and showcases outstanding works of Hungarian fine art.
The gallery’s and temporary exhibitions include works by painter János Vaszary, as well as exhibitions by contemporary and classical artists. In addition to the exhibitions, visitors can also enjoy the services of art workshops, an outdoor movie theater, a café, and a gift shop. Vaszary Gallery aims to make art an enjoyable experience accessible to people of all ages.
