House of Jewish Excellence

The House of Jewish Excellence is one of Balatonfüred's most unique visitor centers, which presents Jewish scientists, artists, and athletes. The exhibitions include, for example, From Einstein to Today, From Chagall to Spielberg and From Hajós to Kasparov – not only providing information, but also offering playful learning opportunities, making them enjoyable for all age groups.

The center is a combination of a renovated synagogue and a modern building wing, where an audio guide assists visitors, a café and buffet provide refreshments, and a peaceful garden awaits visitors. The aim is to present the contribution of the Jewish people to the development of the world in a manner befitting its importance, not only by remembering the past, but also by recognizing the values of the present.

The House of Jewish Excellence is located in Balatonfüred, at 32 Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Endre Street, easily accessible from the town center. Visitors arriving by car can park for free on site, and bicycle racks are also available. Take the local bus to the Kossuth tér stop, from where the museum is about a 3-minute walk away.
